Captain Bill Fairbanks Survivor From Crash of B-17E 41-2627

"When the 8th PRS was operating as a photo unit by its self Fairbanks was the most important man on the Airfield with the 8th as he was the Liaison officer from 5th Air Force HQ to the 8th PRS and he assigned the targets that they were to film each day and he had a intel unit that looked at the film as soon as it came in and reported Japanese aircraft counts on on a daily basis as weather permited plus assigned mapping duty.
