Side scan sonar imagery of B-24D "Crosair" 41-23752
On January 1, 1943 returning from a bombing mission against Rabaul ditched off Kawa Island impacting tail first causing the tail section to fold over the rear fuselage. This bomber was first SCUBA dived and confirmed by Rod Pearce on January 10, 2002.
