Aircraft History
Built by Martin in Baltimore, Maryland. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-26B Marauder serial number 41-17579.

Wartime History
In May 1942 assigned to the 38th Bombardment Group, 69th Bombardment Squadron. Assigned to pilot Behling. Nicknamed "Mormon Meteor". This bomber flew missions until late February 1943 when the squadron converted to the B-25 Mitchell.

On February 27, 1943 transfered to the 70th Bombardment Squadron. Assigned to pilot 2nd Lt. John Sherlock who renamed it "'The Galloping Ghost" on one side of the nose and "The Peace Terms" on the opposite site.

During May 1943 took off piloted by 2nd Lt. John Sherlock on a flight to Amberly Field near Brisbane.

Most likely, this B-26 was transfered to the 5th Air Force, 22nd Bombardment Group, 19th Bombardment Squadron.

The ultimate fate of this bomber is unknown, likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
