Location North Embi Airfield (Dobodura No. 12) was located near Embi to the east of Dubodura, and Horanda Drome (Dobodura 4). A single runway parallel to the road connecting to Borio and Oro Bay. Also known "North Embi Airfield No. 12" or "Dobodura No. 12". Today located in Oro Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Construction Built by the U.S. Army late 1943 as a single runway with ravetments on both sides. Taxiways connected directly to North Borio Airfield (Dobodura No. 15) located to the northwest. World War II Pacific Theatre History During late 1943 until early 1944, used by U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) fighters. American units assigned to North Embi (Dobodura No. 12) 475th FG, 431st FS (P-38) 12 Mile Drome arrives October 3, 1943–March 26, 1944 departs Nadzab No 3 Today Disused since the Pacific War.
