PB   I’m doing a book about the WWII Battle for Shaggy Ridge. At this stage I’m still building up my database of interviews etc and as it is all on computer I hope to put it all together reasonably quickly.

  I’ve even commissioned a painting for the front cover showing one of the Australian attacks on the ridge. I’ll let you know on your web site when it is closer to publication. I will wait till the manuscipt is finished before I try to find a publisher.

  Each time I think I have all the details, I find another vet who puts a new angle on it. I think it will be a book for anyone with a penchant for history, bravery and human spirit. The battle was literally fought on a one man front due to the extraordinary terrain and how the Australians overcame the terrain and the enemy is quite inspiring.
