Location
Lat 19° 26' 60S Long 46° 49' 60E  Antil Plains is located in central Queensland in Australia. Named for a local resident named Antil. During the Pacific War, the presences of many ant mounds led American servicemen to incorrectly believe the location was referencing ant hills. To the east is Townsville.
