"There was no town, no village, no farmers, or ranchers that I ever saw living around Iron Range, Australia. There were some crude docking facilities in its sheltered harbor a few miles from the airstrip, but I never saw anyone tending it. Occasionally an ancient Australian barge of some dreary type would pull in there and a handful of Aussies.
