The museum is
located in a building known as "The Drill Hall", built 1917 for recruiting
depot for the 11th Light Horse Regiment. Later, it became the training
HQ for the 25th Battalion., during WWII, a recruiting center, and
for "Darling Downs" soldiers during the 1950-60. Purchased in 1990
for a museum to display 25th Battalion history. The museum
includes WWI display, WWII vehicles, women at war and captured Japanese
souvineers, and Australian Peacekeeping display. Also, the museum
has a research branch.
