Lat 1° 13' 60S Long 116° 57' 0E  Located on the eastern coast of Borneo. To the southwest is the Manggar River and offshore is the Makassar Strait. To the west are Balikapan and Sepiinggang. Also known as "Manggar Aerodrome" or "Manggar Field".

Wartime History
Occupied by the Japanese. During July 1945, liberated by the Australian Army.

Located on the coast to the east of Balikapan. Occupied by the Japanese and liberated by Australian forces during July 1945.
