Location
Tamil Nadu State is located in the southernmost portion of India. Borders the Union Territory of Puducherry and Kerala State, Karnataka State and Andhra Pradesh State. Borders the Eastern Ghats on the north, by Nilgiri, the Anamalai Hills, and Kerala on the west, by the Bay of Bengal to the east, with the Gulf of Mannar and the Palk Strait on the southeast and the Indian Ocean and Sri Lanka (Ceylon) to the south.
