Four P-38 Lightings Ditch
Four P-38 Lightings ditched here. Three are resting on a row on sand reef flat maxium of 2-3 meters deep, and one 12 m on a coral slope. Max Ammer dove them in 1994. Richard Leahy photographed these wrecks from the air. A report from WWF incorrectly stated that these aircraft were Japanese. References War In Pacific Skies page 130-131.tob
