History
Site of Japanese landings on the SE tip of Luzon
on December 11/12, 1941 by a force debarking form Palau of the
Kimura Detachment of the 33rd Regiment. The town remained under Japanese control until April 1, 1945 when the U.S. Army landed and liberated the town.
