Location Lat 7° 24' 42S Long 144° 14' 44E Kikori is located at an elevation of 114' / 34m above sea level on the western shore of the Kikori River inland from the south coast of New Guinea and beyond the Gulf of Papua. Prewar and during the Pacific War located in the Territory of Papua. Today located in the Kikori District of Gulf Province in Papua New Guinea. Wartime History During the 1942, Australians operated at spotting station for the New Guinea Air Warning Wireless Company (NGAWW). Also an Australia New Guinea Administration Unit (ANGAU) station.
