US Army Camp
Click For EnlargementThere was a US camp on the beach in 1943 - 45 and across the road was the firing range with Sherman Tank "Jezebel" and a junk pile in the jungle. The ridge they walked up in Thin Red Line movie is the next ridge to the east. Peter Flahavin, 1998.

Japanese Hospital Area
