Orlofe Island Western Province | Solomon Islands Circular island off Poporang Island and across from Tuha Channel, Poporang and Shortland Islands.   History A prewar copra plantation, one of the McDonald daughters married Tindal and settled the island. Clara Scott also lived on the island before the war, the steps of which still remain to this day. After the war, the copra plantation was resumed, and continued until the 1970s. Today the island is empty, but the family still owns it.
