Nakajima E8N2 (Dave)
Catapult launched reconnaissance aircraft, saw service aboard aircraft tenders, battleships, cruisers. The type actually scored aerial victories during the second Sino-Japanese war, where it sometimes operated as a dive bomber, reconnaissance and spotter. When WWII started, this aircraft was being phased out of service with the E13A1 Jake and F1M2 Pete, but during the earlier stages of the war this plane was operated, and sometimes retained for second-line duty.
