Pioneer Aero Restoration

Founded in 1997, from the assest of Pacific Aircraft Ltd begun by Charles Darby and Jim Pavitt. With Garth Hogan they became Pioneer Aero Restoration. The company has been involved with many restorations, primarily P-40 Warhawks, and Russian aircraft from WWII for clients around the world, and their own aircraft projects.

Fuselage, tail, wings and engine were restored at Pioneer Aero during 2000s.

Purchased 2001 restoration work began, offered for sale, purchased by Potter collection

Recovered from Tadji in 1974, restored to flying status in 2000

P-40E Warhawk Serial Number 41-25158
Recovered as scrap, restored to flying status in 1997, re-restored in UK

P-40N Kittyhawk Serial Number NZ3125
Recovered rom Rukuhia disposals site in NZ, restored to flying status
