Part of the 4th Naval Harbor Duty, attached to Fefan Island in Truk Lagoon.

Futagami survived the war and during September 1945 was surrendered in serviceable condition.

Sinking History
Sometime after September 1945 sunk or scuttled for unknown reasons roughly 500 yards off Dublon Island in Truk Lagoon.

Shipwreck
This shipwreck lies about 500 yards off Dublon Island. The sea is more murky due to run off from nearby mangrove swamps.
