Sinking History
The ship was blown apart
by an explosion when hit by USS Yorktown SBD's and sank in Truk Lagoon.
Shipwreck
Discovered in 1973, then lost and rediscovered
in 1978 on the 140' bottom. Lots of oil and gasoline with caustic
effects on divers still exists on this wreck. The wreck is quite
mangled.
