Wartime History
It is believed that this vehicle was captured by Australian troops of the 2/14th Battalion on New Britain in 1944 and put into service before being shipped back to Melbourne for technical evaluation. During evaluation, its engine was misplaced.

Postwar
After the war it was acquired for use at a timber mill in Queensland, it being fitted with a Bedford motor. Subsequently it went to the war museum on the Gold Coast. It may have been running as recently as the middle 1980s.
