Location
Lat 35° 11' 50"S Long 147° 12' 31"E  Uranquinty Airfield was located near Uranquinty to the south of Wagga Waggain New South Wales (NSW) in Australia.

Wartime History
Starting in February 1941 based Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) No. 5 Service Flying Training School (5 SFTS) for flight training with the Wirraway and used until the end of 1945. During World War II between 1941–1945, a total of 1,515 pilots graduated from 5 SFTS.

Postwar
Until at least 1947, continued to be used by the RAAF Uranquinty. Afterwards, disused as a military airfield. During 1951, the RAAF returned to Uranquinty Airfield and was the base for No 1 Basic Flying Training School until 1958.

Today
Since 1958, disused by the RAAF. Today, the remains of the base and airfield is now on private property. A memorial consisting of a Wirraway engine and a number of information panels can be found in the nearby town of Uranquinty.
