Location Lat 32°2'0" Long 118°49'0" Ming Foo Kung Airfield was located outside of the old city wall of Nanking (Nanjing) in Jiangsu Province in China. Also known as "Nanking Airfield" or "Nanjing", "Ming Ku Kung" or "Daiko". Also known as "Ming Palace Airfield" 明故宮. Construction Prewar airfield used by both civilian and military aircraft, but most military flights took place from nearby Ta Hsiao-Chang Airfield (Big Parade Ground). American missions against Nanking November 12, 1944–July 31, 1945 Postwar Nanking Airfield was closed in the 1950's and is the site of the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
