Satawan Airfield is located on Satawan Island (Satowan) in the Mortlock Island Group (Nomoi Islands) in Chuuk State (Truk) in the Federated States of Micronesia.

Built by the Japanese as a military airfield.

Wartime History
During the Pacific War used by the Japanese. In 1944, attacked by U. S. Navy (USN) aircraft and U. S. Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberators and was also subjected to a shore bombardment by a cruiser from Task Group 58.1 (TG 58.1).

American missions against Satawan

March 28, 1944–June 13, 1944

Disused since the war.

"The airfield is no longer like before, there are trees growing on top if it."
