31° 22' 3N 130° 50' 44E  Kanoya Airfield is located at Kagoshima on the southern coast of Kyūshū.

Wartime History
During 1945, Kanoya Airfield was used to launch kamikaze attacks. A total of 829 Kamikaze pilots were killed on their missions after taking off from Kanoya Airfield.
