Kushira Airfield is located near Kushira in Kagoshima Prefecture on Kyūshū.

Wartime History
Built during April 1944 as a training base. On March 1, 1945, Kushira was used for kamikaze attacks. Kushira became the third largest kamikaze base, after Kanoya Airfield and Chiran Airfield.
