American missions against Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Lumpur Airfield
January 28, 1942–March 10, 1945

January 28, 1942
(FEAF) B-17's attack Kuala Lumpur Airfield.

February 19, 1945
(20th AF) 49 B-29s bomb the Central Railroad Repair Shops at Kuala Lumpur, some bombing from an altitude of only 1,000'.

March 10, 1945
(20th AF) Mission 43: 24 of 29 B-29s bomb the Kuala Lumpur train station and marshalling yard One B-29 drops over half of its bombs at Alor Star Airfield and another attacks a freighter in the channel leading to Port Swettenham. One B-29 accidentally bombs the Royal Selangor Museum next to the train station killing civilians. Three others attack Khao Huakhang, Thailand. Afterwards, the Japanese use this accidental bombing of civilians as propaganda in the Penang Shimbun newspaper.
