Location
Mukden Airfield was located to the north of the city of Mukden (Shenyang). Also known as "North Airfield" or "Mukden Military Airfield" or "North Mukden Airport", one of three airfields around the city. In the early 1900s known as Fengtian Province. Between 1932–1945 part of Manchuko (Empire of Manchukuo). Today part of the People's Republic of China.

Construction
Built in the early 1930s.

Wartime History
Mukden Airfield was operational as of 1931. Used by the Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) and Manchukuoan Air Force.

Manchuria Airplane Manufacturing Company, Plant No. 2
Located to the west adjacent to the airfield was the Manchuria Airplane Manufacturing Company, Plant No. 2.

American missions against Mukden
December 7, 1944–December 21, 1944

Postwar
Catured Japanese aircraft at the end of the war were used by Communist forces.
