West Field is located near Gurguan Point on the west of Tinian Island. Known by the Japanese as Gurguan Point Airfield. Known to the Americans as West Field. Today located in the Southern Islands Municipality of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) in the United States of America (USA).
Built by the Japanese with two pararell runways.
During late July 1944 occupied by the U.S. and the runways were repaired and expanded for use by B-29 Superfortress heavy bombers. Known to the Americans as "West Field".
