Lat 39° 0' 31S 174° 10' 45E  New Plymouth Airfield is located near New Plymouth on the North Island of New Zealand. Also known as "Bell Block Airfield" for the nearby suburb of Bell Block.

Wartime History
During World War II, used by the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) as a military airfield.

Today
Still in use today as New Plymouth Airport with three runways. The first is oriented 23L/05R measures 3,281' x 98' surfaced with grass. The second is oriented 23R/05L measures 4,298' x 148' surfaced with asphalt. The third is oriented 32/14 measures 3,937' x 131' surfaced with grass. Airport codes: ICAO: NZNP IATA: NPL. Today, serviced by Air New Zealand, Jetstar Airways and Originair.
