Location Lat 14° 43' 0" N Long 121° 5' 0" E Balara Airfield was located near the entrance of the University of the Philippines (UP) and the Balara water reservoir in Quezon City northeast of Manila. Also known as "New Balara Field". Wartime History During the Pacific War, Balara Airfield was used as an auxiliary airfield. Tony Feredo adds: "Technically this is not Quezon Field as Quezon was actually at Quezon Boulevard. This should be named as New Balara Field as there was another airfield at the water reservoir at Balara which was the old airfield. Quezon Field is in the Quezon Ave. area. The confusion arose on the labeling of the map by the 1st Cavalry." Today Disused as an airfield since the war, the road follows the former runway.
