Location Maniquis Airfield was located near Cabanatuan in Nueva Ecija on Luzon in the Philippines. Also known as "Cabantuan Airfield". Construction Built prewar as a single runway for use by the Philippine Army Air Corps (PAAC). Wartime History On December 8, 1941 three Martin B-10 bombers of the Philippine Army Air Corps were parked at Maniquis Airfield. One of the B-10s was involved in an accident. The remaining two had mechanical problems and were unable to take off against the attacking Japanese. After the Japanese landings on northern Luzon, these bombers and the Maniquis Airfield was abandoned by the Philippine Army Air Corps (PAAC) when they withdrew southward. Tony Feredo adds: "I have no document or evidence that it was used by the Japanese. Probably it was but I am not certain as of the moment." Today Disused as an airfield since the Pacific War.
