Location
Lat 17° 33' 19N Long 120° 21' 21E  Vigan Airfield is located at an elevation of 16' above sea level near Vigan in Ilocos Sur Province on Luzon in Region I (Ilocos Region) in the Philippines.

Construction
Built prior to the war as an airfield.

Wartime History
On December 10, 1941 occupied by the Japanese Army and quickly put to use by Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) aircraft from Formosa as one of their first bases in the Philippines. During January 1942 after Japanese forces captured Clark Field most aircraft moved to that location.

Starting in January 1942 attacked by American aircraft during the defense of the Philippines. During the Japanese occupation of the Philippines, used by the Japanese as an airfield. During January 1945 again targeted by American aircraft until early March 1945.

American missions against Vigan
January 2, 1942–March 8, 1945

Today
Still in use today as Vigan Airport designated small airport. The single runway is oriented 20/02 measures 3,890' x 90' surfaced with asphalt. Airport codes: ICAO: RPUQ IATA: VGN
