| Location Oro Bay Airfield is located near Oro Bay. Prewar and during the Pacific War part of the Northern District in the Territory of Papua. Today part of Oro Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Construction Used as an emergency strip for Allied aircraft. Japanese missions against Oro Bay January 23, 1943–October 17, 1943 Today Abandoned since the Pacific War.
