Prewar and during World War II, March Field was an important prewar airfield for bomber and fighter aircraft.

Still in use today as a military airport known as March Air Force Base (March AFB). Today known as March ARB. March ARB has two runways. The first is oriented 30/12 measures 3,010' x 100' surfaced with asphalt. The second is oriented 32/14 measures 13,300' x 200' surfaced with concrete. Airport codes: ICAO: KRIV IATA: RIV.
