I've checked the American Battle Monuments Commission website which lists Aviation Metalsmith First Class Conrad H Lawrence, 2684369 (USN) as believed killed on December 4, 1945. He had been awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart. At the moment I don't have any other information, though "Quada C...

Yeah, it sure does look like it might be a good movie. (But then again, so did Windtalkers ....) At least it's getting the new movie treatment though. I'm not sure if the main website has changed, or whether this computer I'm on doesn't have the right Flash versions etc, but all I can get at the off...

I'm assuming you're dates are mm/dd/yy. The closest loss I have for the 71st was on July 3, 1944 - P-39Q-6-BE 42-19999. Unfortunately I don't have the pilot's name or any details relating to the loss (yet). Pretty much all crew/serial/date information I have can be found on the PacALD system - http:...

I remember hearing something a few years back about Russell Crowe intending on doing a movie based on Australians in PNG during WW2. Whether it's the same one, I don't know. However, I did come across this at IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0481390/ The official movie website appears to be: http:/...
