Just wanted to say Hello to all the members out there , after reading the article in the paper today I thought I would get more information on The Pacific War and this would be a great place to start. A little background of why I'm interested;
My father, Frank L Davis, was a member of 'A' company of the 506th PIR of the 101st Airborne Division making two Combat jumps in the European War.
First was on D-Day jumping into France, Second was Market Garden jumping into Holland, getting wounded then being a POW when the 101st Field Hospital at Bastogne was over-run by the Germans.
I look forward to exploring the information here
Thanks for the great site
Bob Davis
