New member here, but long time visitor to Pacific Wrecks. I have always loved this website. Lotta info here and very interesting. I am from the Texas Gulf Coast. I am retired US Army and currently work at the BP Texas City Refinery in Texas City, Texas.
I have found many references to my father's USAAF unit here. My father, SSG William A. Scroggins, served as an aerial gunner and in ordnance in a ground crew, with the 90th Bombardment Group, 400th Bombardment Squadron from 1942 until 1945. Several of the B-24 Liberators that my father served on are listed in this website. I have many, many photos of some of those bombers from my father's photo collection that he took while serving at Iron Range Airfield, Port Moresby, Dobodura, Nadzab, Wakde and on into the Philippines and Ie Shima, Japan.
