The magazine 'Fish & Boat' (May, 2011:8) has just run a story on the discovery of the RAAF's Catalina A24-24 off Bowen, lying in 40 metres of water. Apparently the wreck site is 'closed' as a secret fishing spot to only but a select few. Doesn't show much respect for the family members of the victims of the crash. Anyone interested in a scan from the mag, please email me.

Only just came across this post. I'd be interested in the article...
As the crew and passengers from this flight are still missing, will the ADF be investigating the site?
