Dakota KK120 lost 26 February 1947

I am trying to find out information about a Dakota KK120 that went missing on 26 February 1947, flying from Singapore to Saigon. The pilot was F/L Watson of No. 48 Squadron. Apparently no wreckage was found. But perhaps someone maybe aware of some recent research that may assist in finding the location of the wreckage.
