Hi all, am new here. Fascinating place. :)

Just wondering if anyone has info- or can point me in the right direction - on known crash sites of Japanese aircraft downed in attacks on Darwin. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

This is probably the best place to start:

AVIATION HERITAGE CENTER
A feature of the museum is the WWII Spitfire and the huge B-52 bomber, one of only two found outside the US. There are aircraft displays including the wreckage of a Japanese Zero fighter plane, a remnant from Darwin's attack in 1942. Other exhibits include a Wessex helicopter, a Sabre jet and static displays on Australian aviation history. Open daily 9am?5pm. Guided tours at 10am and 2pm. LOCATION 557 Stuart Highway, Winnellie. CONTACT Ph 08 8947 2145 -See Map - Email ahsnt@bigpond.com

Cheers
