the US Navy Memorial has a tribute page dedicated to ships and crew that served in the Pacific, each with a list of lost crew and their service histories, photos and brief histories of significant battles. People can add their own photos and stories there too.

Thank you for this link! My great-uncle served on the USS Strong DD 467, and died when she was sunk on July 5th, 1943. Any research I can find is valuable.
