I'm still trying to find out information about the disposition of my father's B-25. It's been said that his squadron's planes were pushed off a cliff in Okinawa. Can anyone tell me where the airfield may have been where the B-25s were located? He was with the 7th AF, 41st Bomb Group, 48th Bomb Squadron. Are there indeed cliffs in Okinawa? If so, would the planes have been left in a ravine? Buried? Pushed into the ocean? I just don't know what the geography there is like.
