Reported missing at 0900, 2nd, after failing to receive an RON(?) on C-47A 42-92062, a message was sent through the 68th AACS to
Finschhafen planes intended destination.
Finschhafen reported that plane number 385 had not arrived at that station, radio messages relayed to all stations south of Hollandia and
this organization was informed that the missing plane was relayed to 317th Troop Carrier Group, 433rd Troop Carrier Group, 54th Troop
Carrier Wing, 5th Air Force, 7th Amphibious Force, USN
Search started on the 3rd.
On or about 0730, 3rd Oct, two C-47s search the area between Hollandia and Hansa Bay. Both land and
water routes were covered and these planes after flying eight hours each, returned.
All planes flying south from this ststion were requested to be on the alert.
On or about 0630, 4th, two planes from this organzation thoroughly search inland route to Finschhafen, pilots returned after flying ten hours
