Is there a master list or data base that I can access that lists all missing AAF airplanes in the Asia/Pacific Theater of Operations
that have been found since WWII? Just need to know what has been found so far, I am willing to do the other hard work if I have to. Can someone point me in the right direction? Any help greatly appreciated.

In the process of putting one of these together on the PRIAM Database - Check the Recoveries section on the left. (Still a lot of work to be done).

The Recoveries section will cover MIA recoveries made since 1950.

Daniel Leahy,
Thank you for your help. I appreciate it.
I am putting together a pretty good list of AAF airplanes that are/were missing in the theater. The bulk coming from the AAF Accident Report film reels. This list is not comprehensive. As I put my data base together, I would like cross off the AC that have been found. Again, thank you much.

No problems.
The Project PRIAM will primarily be listing missing personnell as well as aircraft in the Pacific with known facts.
Ideally this will be a community effort - With researchers and relatives providing as much information as possible about each case.

Daniel,
I have over 500 reels of USAAF accident report microfilm reels, ranging from January 1941 to January 1946. If you have any questions or need anything, don't hesitate to ask me. I'll be glad to contribute to your project in any way that I can.

You should add this next to MACR on Project PRIAM

MACRs (Missing Air Crew Reports) = Limit 4
-and/or-
AARs (Aircraft Accident Reports) = Limit 2 (approx 10 pages)
Send Email to... Mrs Lynn Gamma -

The main reason I have not yet listed those details is that all attempts for me to acquire any MACRs through that E-Mail address have failed.
I've just sent a query to the E-Mail address you've provided asking for more information - such as whether the MACRs could be digitised or sent outside the US etc.
If I receive a response to this request, I'll place the details on the PRIAM website.

Further to this... I just received a system E-Mail stating that the above address for Mrs Lynn Gamma does not work...

I got MACR 12030 for this address
AFHRA.NEWS@MAXWELL.AF.MIL
which was on 3/7/07, but all my 2006s were from
AFHRANEWS@MAXWELL.AF.MIL.
Hmm..
Anyway, the mailing address is current ;)
