navy unit casu(f)51

can't find any reference to navy casu(f)51 which was stationed on falalop isl.
ulithi atoll 1945. we serviced all the aircraft pictured east of the airstrip.
mag 45 was located across the way.we saw the Randolph get hit waiting for the movie to start. no lights were out on the ships with an air raid warning on.our
island was blacked out.weird!!!! i can rattle off a bunch of guys if anyone is interested.our boss was ACRM Sileo,then there was AEM1c Sweeney,AEM2c("whisky")AE3cBuzinsky,AEM3c Dolan and me AEM3c Cafiero i could write a book about that place i'm 83 so how many can be still around that are interested?

Hi Larry,

Welcome to the forum. Were you there when those Jap human torpedoes hit that oiler?

I have a Marine buddy who was there at Ulithi with a TBM squadron. He mentioned that they once lost an aircraft on takeoff when the depth charges it was carrying exploded. I also have a "swabbie" buddy that served with CASU(F)-20 on Roi in the Marshalls.
