I've just been made aware that both FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS and LETTERS FROM IWO JIMA have been nominated for numerous Academy Awards this year. They are:

FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS:
* Achievement in Sound Editing
* Achievement in Sound Mixing

LETTERS FROM IWO JIMA:
* Achievement in Directing
* Best Motion Picture of the Year
* Achievement in Sound Editing
* Original Screenplay

We're wishing those involved all the best with these awards - I guess we'll find out in just over six days...
