The epic ten part miniseries "The Pacific" unfolds on HBO, Learn more about the history, personalities, locations and battles portrayed in "The Pacific" miniseries, including Guadalcanal, Cape Gloucester, Melbourne and Peleliu. The series is drawn primarily from two classic memoirs: Helmet For My Pillow by Robert Leckie and With The Old Breed by Eugene Sledge.
