Peter Flahavin collection from Guadalcanal with signed photograph of Martin Clemens
The collection includes cartridge casings, 37mm shell casing, grenades and a U. S. canteen.
Peter Flahavin adds: "Last October 1997, I got a print of that famous
photograph of Martin Clemens taken by Thayer Soule on August 15, 1942 near the CP. Martin Clemens kindly signed it for me. Two of the Solomon Islander scouts pictured are still
alive (as of 1998)."
