Code; (Disposition Code I mentioned above) 1-Buried in accordance with the next of kin wishes. 2-Buried by administrative decision (usually group burials). 3-Buried at sea in accordance with the wishes of the NOK. 4-Buried at sea by administrative decision. 5-Do not disturb; 6-Non-recoverable (MIA) 7- Case closed;
DOD-Date of death; year, month day.
Burials- First four numbers indicate temprary burial. Next four indicate final burial. Any other letters and numbers are for Plot-Row-Grave number for ABMC Cemeteries overseas.
Remainder of the fields are self-explainitory.
There are several columes not shown. They are for special interests only..(i.e.- SIC Code (Special Interest code) shows the 153 Armed Forces personnel executed for various crimes by the US Military during WW II.
