U.S compass found with officers "eagle" and w/o bars mentioned previously found at Jacksons Drome. Group of buckles (incl U.S. + eagle seal) on right side i suspect were part of horse harness gear-found 13 miles from moresby in area littered with horse shoes,mouth bits,harness fittings, incl a cavalry badge. Pilots sunglasses dug up with air force, lt, cpt badges, coins and other stuff- including carlisle first aid pack in the bootless bay area (owner: Carl A. Hustad. This item was returned to Hastad's widow in 2005. Brass picture(?) case with aust insignia on front-scratched inside: "To vince with love from sis" The rest include french compass, Aust gov issue pocket watch, pencils, tyre gauges, thimbles, pocket knife & whistles - marked military, U.S. 1942 and ink holder.
